Interesting page on South Hills political donations & names

Postby Jerry on Wed Mar 26, 2008 10:08 am

This is a Huffington Post page. (overlook that) It DOES list by name, address and even map the donations to presidential elections, both Democrat and Republican by South Hills folks..

Be sure to use the scroll bar on the right to see all the names. At the bottom of that is is "more" to see others:

The rich man's neighborhood donates disproportionatly to the rich man's party. What a surprise.

People who don't bother to list a job, generally because they were born rich, donate to the rich man's party. The few donors to the GOP obviously actually earned their money.

Wouldn't this state be so much better off with 100 single member delegate districts, such that this neighborhood had one delegate, rather than seven?

You have figured out that you can scroll that map all over the place. You don't have to just look at South Hills. You can search any zip code. Like ... oh, Morgantown ....

True, but I was just interested in that area because many of the names are recognizable. I'm also a little surprised at the many teachers names that appear here in WV. And here all this time I thought they were broke.
