I agree that cooking is a lost art. And, women do get a little lazy about it these days. We are busier and more tired as a result. But honestly we would all be better off and thinner if we would be a little more careful what we eat. Jerry do a board about food quality in the stores will ya. It's not just the restaurants but the grocery suppliers too. I think they are all getting lazy and sooner or later somebody is gonna die from it.

Subway is about the safest place to eat if you are on the road.

Bob Evans is pretty safe if you want to sit down and eat.

these greasy little mom and pop places will kill you.

Pack your lunch , sandwich, fruit and may some chips , granola or something and keep if cool is the best way to stay alive.

Is this a spin off of Pat's Fox 11 "Behind the Kitchen Dorr" on Thursday evening local news?

Eat at your on risk, sign should go up on every resturant door.

Lately, we've ordered lunch quite often from a new place in town-The Midtown Cafe which is in the Daniel Boone Hotel. Great food and friendly service!!! Chicken salad is out of this world. The grilled chicken salad looks great although I haven't try it yet but certainly will next time we order at Wells Fargo

what is funny/weird about the ratings done is - one week - a million "critical" violations - the next week - perfect score. It makes me wonder how truly "critical" it was if the problem could have been corrected that fast.

It's in the little place that used to be called Diana's.
Yeah, some stuff from there I like, breakfast from there is usually pretty good and they're Egg Salad is second behind Chesapeake Bagel. Their burgers could use some work though.

The truth is if you want really good, clean food ... eat at home.
If you want as close as you can get...eat at Deihl's in Nitro.

I have to agree ... there are no outstanding family restaurants in the valley. The only place I eat regularly is Suzi's [North Charleston] ... breakfast on the weekends.

Had to go back to Buffalo, NY several times this year ... now there is a mecca of family restaurants ... the area still has ethnic neighborhoods ... polish, italian, german, latvian ... and a vast farming community which was traditionally english/irish.

Corner neighborhood restaurants still exist, and prepare and serve ethnic specialties at a reasonable price.

My favorite ... Gołąbki over mashed potatoes with fresh kiełbasa and a shooper of beer. Hmmmm. Na zdrowie!

And Jerry ... "poor peoples food" is what makes up a majority of ethnic foods ... food for the masses if you will.

The ONLY restaurant I've EVER wanted to see here, goes by several different names but they're all the same great format: " The Brazilian Restaurants."

I have visited several in different states out West and loved them!

These are wonderful! They have about 20 different meats on large skewers that they keep bringing to your table until you tell them to stop! You actually have what appears to be a sand-timer on your table.. but instead of glass, it's wood. It's green on one end (Keep bringing the food!) and red on the other (stop! I cant eat another bite!). And as long as the green sides up... someone will come along with fresh hot meats (many different ones) right off the grill.

See one of their websites here:

Yeah Jerry, those are awesome. My all time favorite restautant is http://www.fogodechao.com/ . I even thought of basing my vacation on going somewhere where they have one, just so I could eat there again.
