My neighbor across the street said she saw a bear in my front yard this morning. Great... first killer deer, and now this....
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A bear was spotted near WSAZ studio in Charleston Friday morning.
Charleston Police and Animal Control came to the scene and made sure the bear got back into the woods safely.
The bear left our studio's parking lot and jumped into the Elk River. The bear swam across the Elk and then into the Kanawha River.
Once he got to the other side of the river, police say the bear went into a wooded area along MacCorkle Avenue and Oakwood Road.
Police directed traffic along MacCorkle Avenue to make sure the bear was safe.
