Two lousy inches of snow is all it takes...

.....to close Kanawha Country Schools. And don't give me that crap about a little high water here and there. The damned schools should be open. Today, they didn't plow my street until around 7am. This means that Ron Duerring looked outside and said... hmmm... better close schools I guess.

The rest of the world is laughing at us.

One of the perks of being a teacher. :):):)

Slept in till 10:00....didn't have to take a personal day to have a new fireplace insert installed....noisy process.....but I"m looking forward to having a fire to warm my toes with this evening.

Love snow days!

Its because all kids have to be taken to school by their mommies and daddies. And most people can't drive on dry roads much less wet roads with a little slush. I saw two cars today on Bridge road pulling out of their driveways onto Bridge Road with snow on all the windows, yes all the windows even the front. People are just dumb.

this made me snicker - i have morning duty outside next to the drop off spot for kids if their parents drive them. It's amazing the number of kids I see being driven when I know they live less than 3 blocks away.....I even see a couple dropped off by taxis.

Idid not know this, Kanawha County Schools calls all kids homes, this morning it was at 5:00 am and notifies them that school is either closed or on a delay. A co-worker just told me that, thats insane. He said he has gottin calls at 3:00 am before, informing them that school is closed. How much money did that cost the tax payers? What a bunch of idiots.
